Aleysha
Since we've been away, i don't know what to do, but each night pray, you break the maddened stone, is it finished for you, old one’s still at home, keep the time of day, hear them sing of truth, nothing more to say, no choice but to go, always read the dunes, roll like rolling stones, the walls have turned grey, love is not our ruin, we’ve eaten all our cake, confined within our roles, there’s little we can do, the desert has our bones, you sing a song of praise see the creep of moon, new horizons will be great, embrace them as our due.
Banya
Working here's no paradise, It only takes two, on the street’s edgy side, it could be great stars and sea like glue, stardust on our plate, all we need's a better crack, show what we can do, to save us from the fire, our songs still resonate, no feeling about what’s true , home’s a better place, this district is our life, jumps for me and you, naked transport lights, shower all what we create, singing with the kitchen crew, we won’t hesitate, to blow our easy nights, when we see what’s new, even the way we try, to stay within the loop .
Sabina
You appear alone, a picture up in lights, or scrawled across a wall, if love holds true, knows which bells to strike, soldered each part of you, tell me you're at home, no matter how we fight, beat our yellow bones, we are not for fools, handsome before our time, fighting off the blues, you scream down a ‘phone, say there is no paradise, a flame out of control, for all your high reviews, dreams pass out of sight, wind blows cold hard truth, clouds ride black and bold, before an early fire, you sing less to atone, than fill me with desire
Adira
Here in an empty Saloon, I fear this sad game , It brings me no news , shadows make strokes, across the window panes, shocked again I'm broke, songs of a dismal fugue, from the train station, whistle their blues, St Anthony alone, says loss is certain gain, but when you need loans, let me hold this balloon, dance on table shapes, encircle with my perfume to exist alone, with him gone on 'planes, is further down the road, beyond the Dunes, lying near the break, will he return in truth, will we dance on waves?
Katerina
In a supermarket yard, her lovely face moved, by rain and the dark, worn clothes at present, across trolley she’s heard, where they make bets, a spirit with some spark, she comes here to rest, and just carry on, it’s a rare clerk not put to the test, when clearing this park, she won’t forget this lot, they don’t soar like larks, precise in their movement, she works at Waitrose, makes lists when off clock, but life is no joke, is there ever a chart, to enumerate corrections, gives food to no marks, all vagrants now?
Dave
In any place, when you figure it, there's always an Old Lady, while the kitchen shakes, chefs toil in fits, to get a living wage, they’re all on the make, with these new gadgets, that circle this space, my back quits the race, no smile can shift, around the pain, it spins before my face, a lover in a launderette, puts me out the game, hangs me on a door frame, music from a tablet, plays again and again, it'd be wrong to say, love doesn’t exist, but when she sees my mate, looks like a hit.
Davide
Who can resist, that warming flame, leavened by your kiss, hidden by a generous street, it's a terrible shame, supplicants at your feet, those who think you’re it, turn to me and say, please God nothing goes adrift, car lanes tick with heat, sunlight grants them little space, our time is fleeting, let their gears change shift, you laugh again, someone will give us a lift, for everything we need, blow our troubles away, hang dreams on a tree, if uncertain questions, clutter our foray, all’s we seek an instance, other golden days.
James
My eyes fix a place, where we just carry on, where no one heeds the flame, or cares about our ways, a tide rises then is gone, beyond any time frame, then you stroke my face, the running lines of alcohol, a delta of red veins, soon we’ll be safe, make wolf howls at the moon, the joy of running away, maybe we'll take a train, search for a winter stove, somewhere safe to lay, we’ll raise our game, make light of broken rooms, love’s better on absent days, always beats the clock’s disgrace, explosive as a bomb, can anyone really say, we’re best alone?
Faith
During these long nights, side by side in memory, don't ask me why, when there's no train, or blessed destiny, to show us the way, we’re cool as we fly , untroubled by honesty, sail with blue airlines, enquire about gain, a long, silent history, that brings us back again, bags heavy with sighs, no fun going to seed, the useless fights, the morning’s cold rain, horizons once so bright, continue unnamed, you say it's my right to want to be free, sing then from on high, why call to the sea ?
Simon
She’s been to Mass, a silken corn, hair in a golden cap, struggling to think, struck like a Grecian urn, I look at the sink, her grace like stance, wild without thorns, a modern day iconoclast, shuddering to trick, what I've discerned, she asks for more drink, if I can say overlaps, churns, laugh’s like a black cat, gliding at the ice rink, her skirts flare, I hear the glass clink, where’s the next pass, a cafĂ©’ sojourn, is this love at last, as she twirls ?
John
Say life’s so unfair, many a seed sown, then again who cares, if you bring the sea, to face the bright unknown, you’ll find out slowly, red lipstick laughter shared, drink it all down, what you need is more, it doesn’t seem real, were you ever born, to feel such churning need, when someone makes a dare, do you moan, dance unsteadily on chairs, throw away your keys, mask it all with scorn, any wanton creed, give us your daily prayer, make us warm as toast, don’t be scared, love always finds a home.
Dean
We drink together for company, God knows if we’re right, always need sympathy, we are like this couple, who stay out at night, only come awake at noon, all we need is peace. love dances hold us tight, worries don’t guide our being, our dreams sharp and new, march to sunlight, we won’t truck with fools, look how easy, it is to sail the sky, nothing stands our scrutiny, we're so happy and cool, in the morning fire, whatever we say or do, you can hear the sea, when we walk for miles, are you as scared as me, if someone turns the tide?

Anya
They say up your game, always take your chance, shuffle the remains, listen to this muted song, who would ever lance, the need to belong, watching the rain, snake down a naked path, can’t be bothered to sail, aboard crowded bars, cargo ships to shining France, rooms with dark marks, red lips white faced, cigarettes and the dance, waiting to slip again, here we just bumble along, flying by our pants, hope we’re not wrong, before the rivers of Spain, polish unlit lamps, kindness waiting, get treated like tramps
Chrissy
When I say 'screw you', It makes my troubles bright, so much more to do, all Chefs die intestate, however much they fight, useless venom at the plates, screaming at menus, their eyes a terrible sight, frightened kitchen crews, fire burns at their face, don't ask me why, anchors bind my feet, even God is not immune, debts gone from myc eyes, no longer am I duped, wouldn't it be great, to feel a love inside, instead of all his rage, our house beyond the dunes, drifting with the tide, death won’t bring him truth, I’m soldered to his cry.
Caroline
Why seek a useless retreat, for all you cannot find, when nothing seems to please, I won't bear good news, that love just needs time, from me there’s always truth, I hate the hiss of Sardony, that doesn't rate sublime, or sometimes turns to Blasphemy, can't disguise the hue, case what's in his mind, I’ll leave that up to you, he shakes his car keys, the moon is on the rise, but brings no Odyssey, rather than a loving creed, for what you might divine, he'd prefer to bleed, forget any sense of ease, thoughts are the crime, you’ll rage at his deceit, somewhere down the line.
Martha
Nothing’s left to slake, sing any song you choose, seek eternal escape, pray with all your bones, they’re a simple crew, tell them where to go, reason says too late, to heal these broken dues, any brigand seeks escape, prefers to be alone, all of life’s tune, don't worry if I'll cope, find some tide or sail, any sea will do, another lover surely waits, a knife to the throat, we’ll sail across the blue, what is left to hold, except what’s mine anyway, a captain of my slew, treasure from the Spanish Main, I am one sassy dude.
Jade
Drunk enough to ask why, I've been chosen, so much here to deny, laugh at all the crazes, they try to impose, invoke stupid phrases, like sing your favourite lines, act as If well spoken, who will catch their eye, they wonder if you’re lazy, to work in tattered overcoat, sweet days of praying, they roll along like fire, verify love's soaking, clouds lower the sky, dreams made on packing cases, blow in cold assurance, I dance away the traces, flowers rest by my side, just some little token, more than any pride, see me as unbroken.
Billy
A worn out empty feeling, all you wish to hide, the pain of someone leaving, she brings you the news, doesn’t try, to disguise what’s true, never mean she lights the sea, an artist cool as sky, to this old has been, she’s looking for something new, a need to find, the story of her youth, whoever walks this street, searches each night, for what they need, he sinks a few, failing with the light, at St Anthony's quay, sheltered by her being, like a soul on fire, the visions she’s seen, witnessed her desire.
Robert
Tell me, tell me why, they treat you like a seer, my lips dance in delight , you command a beautiful air, bells wash away the fear, candle scent and myrrh, who says when we die, there’s call for stolen tears, demands we have to try, life contains its passionate flair, a proud engineer, our joys held to the light, I walk like a man gone by, through the city's cheer, so hot it seems to fry, every stolen lair, songs for all their ears, we don’t have a care, our ship is full of literature, they love orators here, in darkness a green lullaby, our souls rise to share..
Jenny
Would you even care, in breaking up the pattern, it’s gone beyond a dare, have you read the news, with your open wallet, I'm not in love with you, your hand around me squares, squeezes like I'm fattened, despite the way things turn, carry on that hungry you, with your dreams of satin, you'll never know what's true, jewels won't shine this girl, ships can sail forgotten, I’ve so much more to learn, it’s warm on Cathedral avenue, God is not for mocking, he’s nowhere on your crew, a sourball summer swirls, you won’t see me rocking, it isn't me you've turned, lost among the blossom.
Charley
Dream tunes don't hurt, enough to crack, your candy world, silken tents you've thrown, never collapse, held fast by stones, plates you sometimes hurl, nothing keeps you back, sweet talk makes you curl, this life is not your own, in many ways it's crass, consider that part gone, you're not perturbed, how much time has passed, flags are left unfurled, their restraint is constant hope, will you hold the pass, nothing's worth the rope, sing old songs or burn, put love on the gas, turn the flame down, hold it fast.
Peta
Please don't be a swine, playing out your games, always seeking good times, maybe try the truth, fixed in some lousy frame, it's always there with you, whatever turns out right, is never far from pain, sleeping bad, drinking wine, It’s such a bum tune, come home I say, sweeten me with good news, honest about my crimes, no one hears me say, every loser has grand designs, I don’t sing the blues, waiting for some dismal train, but has it dawned on you, when you hug the coastlines, sit and watch the rain, even if it’s fine, no-one gains who plays away?
Warren
They know what I mean, how I roam, face down every deal, cool but burn with rage, when I try to atone, she always closes the gate, says it’s not her scene, when my nerves are blown, asks where I've been, useless to prevaricate, what is on the bone, always too late, never listens to me , bringing garage flowers home, my side of testimony, I’ll wave goodbye to hate, call if the kids need clothes, her turn now to wait, I wonder how it seems, when she hears me phone, will she stand the heat, now I’ve gone?
Sal
I feel the loss of you, stepping off this train, that much is certain my face is like stone, it sends anyone that way, on the Streets or Metro, I haven’t got a clue, what to say today, do I pay my dues, you arranged the loans, introduced me to the reprobates, told me to be strong, now look what’s new, my voice flares and fades, Is this really an issue, when I used to moan, you tried to erase, everything I called a home, they all wail on cue, lowering you to the grave, truth is a bitter fruit, I cry just the same.
Eugenia
From her brown garden seat, she carries a load, secrets spill like poppy seed, stuff you keep, like fancy French cologne, she whispers her feelings, let others weep surrender perfume soaked, to drink her whisky neat, lives by a swollen creek, the bible has a hold, grandma just rolls her sleeves, a rifle next to the sheets, she's no rolling stone, a better cure than ease, won’t bathe in love's defeat, but still enjoys her home, a time for feasts, she measures the string beans, no public telephones, down fields of blue wheat, she's never alone
